The AHWNI office will be closed Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd of April. Herd owners are advised not to post any BVD samples to labs from Friday 29th of March to Monday 1st of April, as postal deliveries will not be made over the holiday period.

BVD Eradication Programme
The compulsory phase of a Northern Ireland BVD eradication programme began on 1st March 2016. The programme is based on testing ear punch samples collected using tissue sample-enabled official identity or management tags for BVD virus.
